IC Information:
Name:</b> Kagami Taro
Fandom: Death Note (Pilot)
Timeline: from the end of the pilot
Age: 13

Overall Info Rating: G - PG-13
Death: ask first plz.

Yaoi - Het - Yuri: doubt it -- possibly -- er. no.

Appearance: Taro is a small, scrawny looking boy. He has very pale skin and a round face, with a round nose to match. His limbs are long and very skinny, covered in healing bruises from past beatings -- though that doesn't happen anymore. His eyes are large and almost girlish-looking, dark and almost black. He has average-length hair, it ends to about the middle of his neck and is a dark brown colour, often almost black in some lights. The bangs are cut over his eyes and the rest of it is parted, framing his cheeks. It is often shaggy and messy looking, sticking up in a few places.
Abilities: While Taro has no supernatural abilities, he does have the Death Note, which allows him to kill anyone in any way possible by writing their name down, and the Death Eraser, which can bring them back to life.
Personality: Taro is in truth, a sweet little boy, despite everything that has happened to him. He grew up to be very humble and quiet, keeping to himself. He scarcely says a word to others, not liking to be offensive or get in trouble. Unfortunately, this gives him a wimpish sort of appearance, causing him to be a frequent target of bullies. Luckily, he isn't one to snitch and will refused to get even people who hurt him, in trouble. He's very level-headed and can stay cool in some of the more desperate situations, but has a tendency to freak out a little over small things. He keeps an open-mind on most subjects, and is very thoughtful and caring towards others. He often has a tendency to put others before himself though, which allows him to be easily taken advantage of at times. Taro is very intelligent for his age, and will often think and figure things out before moving on to the next step.

After the Death Note events though, he has become even more withdrawn, often seen with a sort of deadened expression. He does try to keep a happy tone with everyone, but often has a cynical way of speaking and a knowing look towards many 'taboo' subjects. He absolutely refuses to speak about anything that could relate to the Death Note experience, and often gets easily startled by more... disturbing things. He is still on his way of recovery from his 'trip' to the other plane.

Wrong Road
History: Taro was an only child born to a single mother. He went to a decent school in a decent neighborhood, getting decent grades and pretty much living a decent -- average life. The only problem was that he was bullied often. Too often for his taste. But he was a submissive, unhostile child, so he didn't fight back nor did he do anything about it. He kept to himself and never spoke a word about it because it wasn't anyone else's business and he didn't want to get anyone in trouble. He was a good boy, he didn't like to think of others getting hurt.

One day on his way home from school, he came across a strange notebook. In use of a journal, he picked it up and quickly hurried home to write about it. Of course, the first thing he would do was write about the day's bullyings, not knowing what the notebook really was because he could only read the part that said NOTE. Unfortunately, the next day, he discovered that the two people -- two bullies he wrote about -- were dead, suffering from heart attacks. And then after school, he was beaten up once more. Taro proceeded to research the word that he didn't understand the minute he got home, learning it to be DEATH. Another two names were written down in another journal entry, another two children died.

Naturally, it was the Death Note that did this.

When Taro was heading home, he spotted a classmate, Miura-kun, getting investigated by the police. He retreated to his room, clutching the Death Note and turning to meet Ryuk, a shinigami who lost his notebook in the human world. Taro was intent on returning it but Ryuk explained that he already had a new one so it didn't matter. However, a few minutes after, Taro's mother called him downstairs, the police wanting to meet with him. They asked him a few questions and he answered obediantely, with Ryuk whispering things about the Death Note in his ear. Soon after, the policemen left.

Taro stayed up late that night as Ryuk taught him about the Death Note, the boy contemplating the ideas of a 'peaceful world' but then deciding against it, preferring something smaller. Unfortunately, he soon went to asleep, and then awoke to a plague of nightmares. At this, Ryuk offered Taro what was called the Death Eraser, who could bring someone back to life that was killed by the Death Note. Taro presumed to use it.

The next day, the five children indeed were alive and at school, only for them to collapse from cardiac arrest once more. And then the detectives as well. School was closed for a while. Ryuk and Taro discuss it at home, turning on the tv to discover that people were having panel shows over it, Ryuk interrupting it to reveal that he had dropped two Death Notes instead of one. As the two argued, mystery author Yajuin Akihiko was offering his ideas, the others eager to grasp this and only to suffer from heart attacks as well. But Taro quickly catches on, coming to realization who it really was and hurrying over to the location.

Naturally, it was Miura-kun.

Miura attempts to write down Taro's name, but the other boy tackles him and quickly erases everything that Miura wrote in the Death Note, both deciding to take it to the police. At the station, the two officers meet with the boys and they explain.

Unfortunately, it seemed like proof was necessary and so Taro offered to offer his own life to show that it was real -- Miura writing it down with 'peaceful death' afterwards. A few seconds later, he was brought back to life with the eraser. Soon after, one of the notes was burned to dust and everything was to stay a secret.
